Whether you are an entrepreneur or someone interested in discussing innovations that you can apply to your business or your career, join us for breakfast! Our HARVARD ENTREPRENEURS' BREAKFAST is an informal opportunity (usually) on the first Friday of every month for Harvard Alumni to meet, drink some joe, connect, and share ideas and opportunities.

March's topic will be Start Up Fund Raising, led by David Chen, MBA’96, Managing Director of AngelVest and Board member of the HBS Alumni Angels Assoc. We’ll discuss when to seek funding (slow initial growth via bootstrap vs fast via financing), effective access to classic funding (angel and VC) and alternative funding sources (eg grants, SBA loans, on-line funding channels, owner-supplied loans).  If we have time. we can discuss budget/capital planning, IP rights and protections, and starting from scratch vs buying and growing.  If you are seeking financing or thinking about your path forward, join us for this interesting session.
