Seaside Heights Windsurfing, Kayaking, & Paddle Boarding 8/7

This windsurfing outing is designed to be enjoyable for the experienced windsurfer and simultaneously safe and welcoming for novices and "first timers".

Date:                Sunday, August 7th, 2016
Time:               10:00 AM
Place:              H2 Windsurfing trailer on the bay beach just south of Stewart's Root Beer 1200 NJ-35, Seaside Heights, NJ 08751.
Directions:     If you cross into Seaside Heights on 37 East, take 35 North for a little less than a half mile to the Acme which is on the left where you can cross over to 35 South. About half way back to the 37 bridge, you will see the H2 Windsurfing trailer in the bay beach parking lot immediately south of Stewart’s Root Beer.

We start our day by meeting just before 10 AM on the bay beach near the H2 Windsurfing trailer.

Experienced windsurfers can join us at any time; however, if you wish to rent a windsurf board from H2 Windsurfing, you should call Ken Hoff of H2 Windsurfing (http://h2windsurfing.net/) at 732.642.2834 at least a few days before the event to arrange for a rental.

Novice, and "first timer" windsurfers.  Our plan is to start instruction at 10 AM. You should sign up as soon as possible. There is a maximum limit of 10 people that H2 Windsurfing feels they can comfortably instruct. There will be an initial 30-45 minutes of land instruction. Then you will share the 4 beginner boards with each person using a board for 20 minutes or so at a time. These boards will be available for at least 2 to 3 hours depending on the number of people who sign up. Other boards are available for use by any who advance beyond the beginner boards.

Kayaks and Paddle Boards. If you wish to rent a kayak or paddle board, you can do so directly from H2 Windsurfing. Call Ken Hoff of H2 Windsurfing at 732.642.2834 at least a few days before the event to make arrangements and so that they can be sure to bring enough equipment.

Possible Cancelation: If the forecast calls for no wind or very strong winds or rain, the windsurfing instruction may be canceled. Ken Hoff will be checking the local weather forecast the evening before; he plans to notify us of any issues at https://www.facebook.com/H2Windsurfing. In case of inappropriate weather, the event will be rescheduled for the following Sunday. Also, if there is no wind, club members could rent a SUP/kayak.
